08-21-2014 — “Part of the Downtown Reno Revival”

Downtown Reno used to be a disaster. Actually all of Reno used to be a near disaster. But the Siena, right on the Truckee River, is part of a revitalization that includes a number of nice hotels, bars, river recreation, and a new ballpark. The hotel's rooms are very nice, and the casino is good but not too big or obtrusive. We didn't use the spa. I think the Peppermill is the nicest hotel in town, but it's pretty isolated. The Siena is the best bet if you want to be part of Reno.

08-21-2014 — “Close to the Action, but Quiet”

Pros: Clean, quiet. Good location, near the Truckee River, and in downtown.

Location: Next to the Truckee River, across the street from the Cal Neva, and plenty of places to eat and be entertained, further down the street. This was kind of a last-minute thing. Prices on hotels are normally higher on Friday and Saturday nights in Reno. Was checking around, and many hotels were sold out. However, I was down to few choices, and a couple that I was familiar with were higher than usual so, the Siena was about $5 more, and decided to take a chance. Had no regrets about this. Close enough to the center of the action, yet the rooms were quiet. The hotel had lots of amenities.....spa, pool, etc.....they have restaurants, too but didn't get to try those, since I was meeting with friends elsewhere in Downtown Reno.

08-19-2014 — “Very Convenient”

I don't like casinos or gambling but had to stay someplace in Reno for a conference and this hotel was convenient. The room was nice; ditto with the pool/spa and the business center. The hotel also provided transportation to my conference, which I really appreciated. Given the other options versus the convenience of this hotel, I'd stay here again.

Others had said to ask for a river view so we did. 8th floor room looking over river. Compact but not too small, all you needed! Outstanding service and amenities. Bar service at the pool, music in casino, gorgeous spa (will come back to use!), and great central location.

We went up for two nights as part of celebration week. Booked a standard room and asked if they had any upgrades available. Got a larger room on the 8th floor with a view of the river for just a little bit more. Nice room, nice bathroom with lots of counter space. Great bed with excellent pillows. Wi-Fi worked great. Johnny Rockets was great for lunch and the restaurant very good for dinner. Enjoyed the Happy Hour, too. The pool and spa on the rooftop were nice and clean.

Pros: Lovely suite, great for 3 people.

Location: Squeeze Inn for breakfast!

Great experience! Accommodating, friendly staff. Our room was not ready at 3:00pm was promised and we had to get ready for a wedding rehearsal and dinner. The gal upgraded us to a suite that was available and made it so she could get ready and be there on time!

Nice small hotel with great service.  The casino space is relatively small and the room's AC unit was pretty loud, but the place has been decorated nicely.  The staff make the difference.  We went to the 4th floor pool and there were no towels.  A quick call to the front desk and someone came up with a huge pile of towels.  He did not throw them down but walked around to everyone at the pool to see if they needed any towels.  Bartender at the pool was working overtime to see if people needed new drinks.  Extra towels delivered by housekeeping was good.  Every employee we ran into seemed like they were happy to working at the hotel.

“Friendly and Easy”

Well the hotel is nice, as per Reno small and easy to get around. The staff friendly and helpful. Clean room very comfortable and able. An older hotel remodeled, once the Holiday Hotel .You are actually on the Truckee River, a nice sight in the casino. As the food well Johnny Rockets is a meat restaurant, we are vegetarians and even a customized menu was […] way below poor health standards. People then are there to gamble not eat .The price very reasonable for our stay and all in all found it a fine place to rest on our way to Lake Tahoe.
